About us
We are a group within Transilvania University, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, passionate about professional development, building valuable connections with students, and achieving success in a dynamic professional environment. Together, we aim to elevate the ACM-UniTBv Student Chapter to a high level, where opportunities are vast.
Activities of the UniTBv ACM Student Chapter
We organize various activities to provide students with learning and development opportunities, such as interactive workshops where students can learn and experiment with new technologies and methodologies, conferences where experts from different fields share their knowledge, panels, and academic meetings for networking and collaboration between students and academic staff.
We plan to establish contacts and collaborations with other existing chapters, such as those in Turkey and Bosnia. These partnerships will allow us to exchange resources, ideas, and organize joint events.
We intend to collaborate with passionate speakers and experts from various fields, inviting them to present and discuss topics relevant to students. These collaborations will contribute to enriching students’ knowledge and skills, offering them valuable perspectives from different professional areas.
We aim to initiate discussions with various companies interested in presenting themselves to students. They will showcase the technologies they use, their organizational culture, the projects they are working on, and what a job within their companies looks like. This information will be beneficial for students, giving them a clear perspective on the professional environment.
About WomENcourage
WomENcourage is an event organized by ACM-W Europethat celebrates women in the fields of computing and related technologies. Its aim is to bring together women working in these sectors to share their professional experiences and accumulated knowledge, while offering special support to young women pursuing their studies or building careers in computing.
With a program rich in inspiring topics and valuable educational and networking activities, womENcourage provides a unique opportunity to experience the collective energy, motivation, and commitment of professional women. Through this gathering, participants offer each other support and encouragement in their professional journeys.
